After test-riding some 2014 Reynolds Assaults a few months ago (which I described as "weapons for the weekend warrior"), I knew I needed to buy a Reynolds wheelset of my own. I decided to go with the Assaults older brother, AKA the Reynolds Strike, and they arrived a couple days ago. These wheels are very similar to the Assaults in build, only a bit deeper at 62mm as opposed to 41mm. They're light and strong, weighing in at a mere 1635g... can't wait to test'em out!
Hi! May i ask how's the performance of the 2014 Reynolds Strike? Is it good when you're descending, how's the braking? Is it hard to climb with those wheels? How about on flats, crosswinds encounter? Do you have a picture on your bike, does it look good? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Ed! I have limited experience with other wheels for comparison, but for what it's worth, I love these wheels. They handle well in all conditions, and I recommend testing them out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply Triple Threat! Unfortunately, here in the Philippines they dont offer test ride for any bikes or wheelset. We just rely on reviews and recommendations from friends. Anyways, it's nice to know that your new wheels are doin great for you. I hope you can post the picture of your bike with the Reynolds Strike. Thanks!
